Hi there!
My name is Peter Werner. I am a 4th-year Ph.D. student in Prof. Daniela Rus’ lab at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT.
My research interests are broadly centered around Mathematics, Control Theory, Optimization, and Robotics. While my interests tend more towards theory and software, I have a deep appreciation for hardware. I find nothing more convincing than an actual hardware system executing an approach - there is no hiding or glossing over details.
Anyways, if I am not in the lab you can probably find me running along the Charles River, hiking in the Whites, skiing back home in Switzerland, or playing badminton. I also enjoy drawing inspiration from great engineers and inventors such as Wile E. Coyote (SuPeR gEnIouS), André Franquin’s Gaston, and Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson.
If you have any questions regarding my work or funny memes to share, feel free to contact me at {wernerpe} at {mit.edu}!
If you can guess what artist the favicon is referencing I will buy you a coffee =)
